Thanks to a very gracious wife, I was able to take advantage of the very warm (upper 60′s) temperatures to get in a long outside ride on a week night.  I went out for a little over 3 hours and rolled through Belleville, Ypsilanti, and Plymouth as I covered 42 miles on my mountain bike.  The ride started into the wind and the wind didn’t really let up until the ride turned north in Ypsilanti.  It felt really good to be out in the nice weather.  Now I just can’t wait for spring thaw to be over and to be able to ride on the trails.

I was so excited by today’s soaring (55 degrees) temperatures because I was able to go for a ride outside.  Unfortunately, A minor household disaster delayed the start of my ride a few hours so I could only go 2 hours and 19 minutes instead of my planned 4 hours.  The only water on the roads was from snow melt.  You can see my ride here

nakedpastor is part of my daily reading now.  I came across this and it just really struck me in it’s simplicity and truth.  Issues Aren’t Obstacles, But The Finish Line.  My favorite quote: “working on our issues so that we could achieve a perfect marriage was
misdirected. We realized, with joy, that working on our issues IS marriage.”
